Pie/cake season is upon us once again. The form is attached and will be available at the meetings starting this Friday, October 16th. The last day to submit orders will be Friday, November 6th. This fundraiser allows scouts to earn money in their Scout account which can be used towards trips or summer camp. The scout will be credited $5 per item sold. This year only 3 types of cheesecakes (plain, Oreo, strawberry slam) and 2 types of pies (apple pie, pumpkin pie) are available. All items are $17. Payment can be made via check (made out to Troop 106) or cash (exact change please). They will be available for pick-up on Tuesday, November 24th at Trinity.
For questions, contact Gerry Mohr at 917-886-6501.
Thanks,
Anthony
Good Evening everyone. Hope all are doing well. The Troop is off to a great start this year. The first two meetings were great and went off without a hitch.
This Friday, we will be conducting Troop Leadership Training! All scouts who are in a leadership position such as, SPL, ASPL, Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, Scribe, Etc.. are expected to be there for this training. Those scouts not in a leadership position are welcomed and encouraged to attend as well.
Snacks will be provided. We just ask that the scouts brink a drink with them.
Uniform is not required!
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Friday!

I have just been notified of a service opportunity in Juniper Park. Due to the recent Tropical Storm, there were a lot a trees and branches that fell down and left a mess in the park and the parks department is overwhelmed with the clean up. The troop was asked if we could help with the clearing of branches on Wednesday August 12th from 6:00 pm, to 8:00 pm. We will be meeting by the Pullis Farm Cemetery. You will get service credit towards rank advancement for attending. Social Distancing guidelines will be in effect and everyone who attends is required to wear a mask. Please bring water with you. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. Hope to see some of you tomorrow night.

Hello everyone, I hope everyone continues to be well and safe. Below is a letter from Brandon about his Eagle Scout Project! I encourage all to help out and participate in anyway they can.
Thanks, Anthony
My Eagle Project of creating care packages of needed goods for the veterans currently at St. Albans VA Medical Center just got approved. I need to start acquiring donated goods to make the care packages. Due to the current restrictions and for the safety of all involved, it is best to acquire donations directly from local businesses. Their donations would be tax deductible and I can provide them with a tax ID. I would appreciate you/anyone you know helping me call local businesses to request the donation(s) of the following needed items:
Personal hygiene products (razors, shaving cream, shampoo, body wash, body lotion, alcohol free mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.)
Assorted new clothing items in all sizes (t shirts, shorts, underwear, socks, sneakers, etc.)
Arts and crafts (puzzles, paint by numbers, leather/wood crafts, adult coloring books, etc.)
Non-perishable, prepackaged food items and snacks (Cookies, granola bars, nuts, drink mixes, candy bars, pretzels, etc.)
All items must be NEW. Food items must be prepackaged, non-expired and factory sealed.
If a business agrees to do a donation, please inform me and I will handle the pick-up.
Thank you for your help!
