Troop 106- Weekly Updates

Good Morning, Hope all is well and everyone is staying safe and Healthy.

Some good news to share: New York City as of Monday, removed all of their COVID zones.

What that means for us is that we can have up to 100 people at our meetings.

Tomorrow night, Friday March 26th, we will a regular meeting. The Patrol Leader’s Council has decided that the scouts will be wearing their CLASS B shirts the last meeting of the month. Class B includes the Troop 106 Summer Camp Tee Shirts or the Polo Shirt. If anybody doesn’t have a Class B please let me know.

Also, I will have sign-up sheets for Summer Camp. The dates for Summer Camp are August 8th to the 14th and August 15th to the 21st. The scouts can come for one or two weeks. Since we didn’t have Summer Camp last year, we would like to recommend that all of the scouts come for two weeks this year. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

Hope to see everyone tomorrow night!

The information for the zoom link is below. The meeting will also be recorded in case anybody can’t make it tomorrow night.

The dates for Summer Camp are August 8th to the 14th and August 15th to the 21st. The scouts can come for one or two weeks.

Troop 106- Weekly Updates

Good Morning Everyone, Hope all is well and that you are enjoying this beautiful weather we are having.

We are having a regular meeting, tomorrow March 12th.

The theme for March is First Aid. We continue to work on the Rank Requirements and the Merit Badge dealing with First Aid.

Just a reminder as mentioned last week, on Friday night March 19th, we will be having our next Parent’s Night. As of right now, it will be virtual because we are still in a yellow zone. If things change, it will be an in-person event. The main topic of discussion will be Summer Camp.

That’s it for now. Hope to see all the scouts tomorrow night at the meeting.

Be well, stay safe.

Troop 106 Updates

Good Evening Everyone. I hope everyone is having a great week.

A reminder that we have a regular meeting tomorrow, Friday January 8th.

The scouts are asked to bring down the knife/eating utensils that they received for a Christmas gift. Those scouts that did not receive one, will get theirs on Friday. We will be going over proper use of the knife. (Tote ‘n’ chip)

Also, we will be having a Patrol Leader’s Council Meeting for those in leadership positions right after the meeting.

Finally, please reach out to me by tomorrow afternoon if any scout needs a board of review.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night!

Troop 106- Christmas Party

Good Evening, Hope all is well with everyone. This Friday, December 18th, will be our annual Christmas Party at 7:30 at Trinity Lutheran Church.

This year because of COVID, the troop will be supplying the food and drinks. Also, because we are limited in the number of people we can have at meetings, the party is only for scouts and adult leaders.

We will be conducting a grab bag for anyone who is interested. There will be one for the youth, and one for the adults. Gifts should be between $20 and $25.

Also, we will be conducting an ugly sweater contest and playing our famous guess what’s in the box game.

Finally, because we have not held a Parent’s Night in over a year, we will be conducting a virtual one at 7:30 via Zoom. The Meeting ID is 593 845 8299. Passcode is by6rk6. We will be recognizing the scouts who have advanced since last spring, recognizing those who went to the Florida Sea Base, and recognize the scouts who took on leadership roles this year. With this, if anyone earned any merit badges with the TMR GO, please let Kenny know so that we can have your awards for Friday Night. You can email Kenny at [email protected]. Please cc me on the email.

Thanks’ and looking forward to celebrating with everyone on Friday Night!
