Reminders
I hope that everyone is getting excited and gearing up for our Trip in February! The time has come to collect the second payment of money! For all those that are going we will need a check or cash for $600 by September 20th. We still have a couple of openings if anyone is interested or knows someone who might be interested in going. Any questions please speak to Anthony. We will be having our next meeting sometime in September!
I don’t know where the summer has gone! As summer winds down and we enjoy the final days, I hope that everyone had a joyful and restful summer and is ready and excited about the new scouting year! The renovations are still ongoing at Trinity, so until further notice we will be meeting once again at Atlas Park!

The final meeting and BBQ will take place on Tuesday, June 25th @ Jackson Social and Field Club. The club is located at 5601 Northern Boulevard, Flushing , NY 11377. The BBQ will begin at 7:00 pm. All Scouts as well as their parents and siblings are invited. The troop will supply the Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Sausages, and Drinks. Meet at Our Lady of Hope Rectory Backyard
Wear clothes you won’t mind getting dirty since we will be painting, and bring gloves if you have them.
On Saturday bring your uniforms (in a separate bag) since we will be going to Matt’s Eagle project right after.
If you know you will be coming one or both days please give Harry a heads-up at 347-393-3136.

Eagle Scout Service Project
Flag Retirement Ceremony
The United States Flag Code, Title 4, Section 8k states- “the flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem of display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.”
The Ceremony will take place at the Rocco Moretto VFW Post 2348 located at 31-35 41st, Street, Astoria NY, 11103 on Saturday June 22nd at 12:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Scouts should come in Full Class A uniform.
