Troop 106- Weekly Updates- March 28th

Good evening, I hope everyone is off to a great start to the week and is staying warm.

A great time was had by all who attended Blue Mountain this weekend. Scouts worked on advancement, played games, and were well feed.

Our next camping trip is coming up on the weekend of April 8th to the 10th at Camp Alpine. This is the Pathfinder District Camporee. The cost is $25 for all Food and Program fees. Final sign-up will take place this Friday, April 1st. Hope you all can make it. This will be a weekend of games, competitions and advancement. We will be sleeping in tents.

This Friday, April 1st is the deadline for the early bird payment for Summer Camp. Scouts who are paid in full by this Friday, will save $65 off per week of camp. Please send me your payments no later than Thursday March 31st, so that i can get them in before the deadline. If you are sending a check, please make it out to Troop 106. Questions, please let me know.

Lastly, this Saturday (April 2nd) is Jason Rom’s Eagle Scout Project. Please come out and support Jason, as he works to achieve scouting highest rank- Eagle Scout. More details to follow.

Blue Mountain- Update #3

Good evening, I hope everyone is excited about the trip to Blue Mountain this weekend. Thanks to those who stepped up and volunteered to drive. I really appreciate it. Blue Mountain- Update #1

Good evening, hope all is well. I am writing with a few updates for our upcoming camping trip this weekend. Please make sure to bring your scout handbook and mess kit. The weather is supposed to be in the high 50’s during the day and the mid 40’s at night, so please bring the appropriate clothes. We are meeting at the church at 6:00 pm on Friday! We will be eating dinner at Blue Mountain on Friday night. We are also in need of two drivers to transport scouts. If you are available to drive, please let me know. I really appreciate it. Troop 106- Weekly Updates

Good evening, I hope everyone is having a great week and enjoying the warmer weather.

This Friday, March 18th we will be holding our second Parent’s Night of the year. This is an important night because we will be disusing Summer Camp. We will also have a Court of Honor and the scouts will be preforming skits. At least one of the scout’s parents is requested to come to the meeting.

Last call for the sign-up for Blue Mountain . The trip is scheduled for March 25-27. I encourage all Troop members to attend. Lots of fun and advancement will take place. The cost will be $30 and can be turned in on Friday.

We will also begin sign-ups for the Pathfinder District Camporee which is taking place from April 8th to the 10th at Alpine Scout Camp,

Lastly, as per the church and the pastor, we need to continue to wear masks at our meetings until further notice.

Troop 106- Weekly Updates

Good Evening Everyone. hope all is well.

We have a regular meeting tomorrow March 11th. We will be working on preparing for the camporee in April.

Sign-up for Blue Mountain will continue tomorrow night. The trip is scheduled for March 25-27. I encourage all Troop members to attend. Lots of fun and advancement will take place.

Parent’s Night will take place next Friday March 18th @ 8:00 pm. The main topic of discussion will be Summer Camp 2022! We will also have a Court of Honor and the scouts will be preforming skits.

Also, tomorrow night we will have Order of the Arrow Elections for those Troop members who are eligible. To be eligible, you must be first class and have 15 days and nights of camping, six of which need to be long-term camping.

Lastly, as per the church and the pastor, we need to continue to wear masks at our meetings until further notice.

Good Morning, I hope all is well and that the scouts are enjoying their week off.

I regret to inform you of the passing of Kyle Breen’s grandmother, Mary Breen. The information about the wake and funeral are below:

Visitation at Leo F. Kearns Funeral Home, 61-40 Woodhaven Blvd. Rego Park on Sunday February 27 from 3 to 7pm, Mass of the Resurrection on Monday February 28 at Our Lady of Hope RC Church, 61-27 71st. St. Middle Village. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to the Sisters of St. Dominic of Amityville, 555 Albany Ave., Amityville, NY 11701

The Troop was requested to make a presence at the wake. We will gather at 6:30 pm on Sunday at Kearns Funeral Home. Scouts are requested to be in full Class- A uniform. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.

Troop 106- Weekly Updates

Good evening, I hope everyone is safe and doing well. Just a reminder that we are not meeting for the next two Fridays. Enjoy the long weekend and week off.

Our next meeting is Friday, March 6th!

For those of you going on the Washington DC trip this weekend, we are meeting tomorrow at 5:30 pm at the church. Please be on-time.

Troop 106- Washington Trip Reminders

Good evening, I hope everyone is doing well. Please see below the following reminders for the trip and Itinerary:

We will be meeting at Trinty at 5:30 pm on Friday. We will be stopping to eat on the way there so bring some money.

Dress appropriately for the weather. It’s supposed to be in the 50″s during the day and in the 30’s at night. Even though we will be sleeping in a hotel, we will be spending a lot of time outdoors.

Please bring your Full Class-A Uniform with you!

There will be a lot of walking, so were comfortable proper footwear.

NO BACK PACKS! A duffel bag for your clothes will be sufficient.

Bring spending money with you.

Masks are required in the museums, so bring them with you. I will have extra masks on hand.
