Boy Scout volunteering project Bowne House and Weeping Beech Park highlighting the History of Flushing
We have several volunteer projects set up to highlight the History of Flushing at the Bowne House, Weeping Beech Park and Daniel Carter Beard Mall.
Saturday, March 23rd, 9:30am- 1:00pm WINTER Daffodils and Snow Drops Clean up, mulching and planting
Saturday, April 20th 9:30am- 1:00pm Arbor Earth Day Spring Clean up, mulching and planting
Saturday, May 18th 9:30am- 1:00pm Sacred Sites Weekend Clean up, mulching and planting
Saturday, June 1st 9:00am- 4:00pm This Place Matters: Flushing’s Annual Spring History and Community Festival: Beautify Historic Flushing presents Flushing’s Annual Spring Community Festival, celebrating the history of Flushing through eat, heal, make, and play areas. Demonstrations and educational programming will engage our community with hands-on activities. Children and adults are welcome to come learn and experience Flushing’s unique heritage at this full-day, outdoor festival.
Saturday, Path Through History: June 15th, 9:30am- 1:00pm SUMMER Clean up, mulching and planting
