Early Bird Deadline Extended to May 20

The Early Bird Registration Deadline for summer camp is now extended to next Friday, May 20. To ensure that your registration is complete, please bring the following to next Friday’s meeting.

  1. A check payable to Troop 106 for however many weeks you are going.
  2. A COMPLETE Medical form signed by a physician. (unless you have been given an exception by Mike).
  3. A completed schedule: https://www.tenmileriver.org/files/5225/2016-AQ-Merit-Badge-Schedule.

Failure to bring ANY of these items will result in a loss of early bird pricing.

The Long Island Board of REALTORS®, Inc. (LIBOR) is proud to announce the launch of the REALTOR® Scouting Scholarship Award.  Through this program, LIBOR will be awarding up to six $500 merit-based Scholarships to up to three New York Eagle Scouts and to up to three Gold Girl Scouts. Up to two recipients (one Eagle Scout, one Girl Scout) from each of the three counties, Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens, will be selected. The scholarship is being sponsored through the LIBOR “We’re More Than REALTORS®” Public Relations Campaign.

LIBOR is honored to affiliate ourselves with the Boy and Girl Scouts of America, whose goal is to build the character of young women, men, boys and girls, who then go on to become great citizens in our communities. Eagle Scout and the Girl Scout Gold Award are the highest rank and achievement attainable in the Scouting programs of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and the Girl Scouts of the USA.

Since it was first awarded in 1912, more than 2 million young men have achieved the Boy Scouts of America’s highest rank.  An Eagle Scout in his conduct and character exemplifies the highest standards, aims and ideals of Scouting.  Whether still active in Scouting or not, an Eagle Scout seeks to better himself in order to better serve others and his community.  The Girl Scout Gold Award debuted in 1916 as the Golden Eagle of Merit. It marked the beginning of a long tradition of recognizing the outstanding achievements of extraordinary girls.  The Girl Scout Gold Award has inspired girls to become leaders, and share their ideas and passions with their communities; leaving behind a sustainable legacy.

In the spirit of the “We’re More than REALTORS®” campaign, which supports numerous programs and charitable organizations, and encourages members to help make Long Island a better place to live; it only seems fitting to recognize these extraordinary individuals and to assist them in their pursuit of higher education.

Trinity ‘Fun’draiser: Paint Nite 06/18/16

Calling all parents, leaders and committee members…join us for an adult night of FUN! Trinity Lutheran Church, Middle Village needs your help. All proceeds from Paint Nite will go towards the renovation of our Gym/Dining Hall and Kitchen.

Raise your glass to a NEW kind of night out! Paint Nite® invites you to create your own unique piece of art, guided by a professional artist and party host. You’ll spend two hours painting, laughing, and flexing your creative muscles. There’s no experience necessary and we’ll provide all the supplies, so you don’t have to worry about a thing (except having a great time!).

The event begins promptly at the start time listed above. Please allow extra time to find parking and get settled. If you’re coming with a group, make sure you arrive early to get seats together. We look forward to seeing you there!

Tour Navy Ships – MUST READ NOW

We have been given the opportunity to take private tours on some Navy Ships that will be in town for Fleet Week 2016 (May 25-31).  This year, we have options for ships docked in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island.

Our date will be Saturday May 28.

You MUST SIGN UP by TOMORROW (Monday) at 5p. To do so, just email Pat at [email protected] with your desire to go. THIS IS FREE.

We have 16 youth slots & 4 adult slots. First come first served.
