Refurbishing the dilapidated Pullis Farm Cemetery in Juniper Park

Activities will include weeding, planting, painting, general cleanup, and other enhancements to the cemetery

Meet at Trinity Lutheran Church

Wear clothes you won’t mind getting dirty and bring gloves and any other gardening tools that may be useful

Lunch and drinks will be provided

Summer Camp Sign Up has begun, Early Bird Fee – $410 is due May 30th – After that the Fee goes up to $440. You can drop the money off at my house! The troop will be in camp the following weeks: Week 5- August 4th-10th – Week 6 August 11th to 17th

Fleet Week Trip

This Saturday, we are looking to go down to Pier 88 and tour some of the Ships that are in for Fleet Week. We will be meeting at 10:00 am at the Grand Avenue/Newtown Train Station. There is no cost and no uniform is required! I will not be around on Saturday so I am looking for two adults to chaperone this trip. If interested please reach out to me at [email protected]. We have several volunteer projects set up to highlight the History of Flushing at the Bowne House, Weeping Beech Park and Daniel Carter Beard Mall.

Saturday, March 23rd, 9:30am- 1:00pm WINTER Daffodils and Snow Drops Clean up, mulching and planting

Saturday, April 20th 9:30am- 1:00pm Arbor Earth Day Spring Clean up, mulching and planting

Saturday, May 18th 9:30am- 1:00pm Sacred Sites Weekend Clean up, mulching and planting

Saturday, June 1st 9:00am- 4:00pm This Place Matters: Flushing’s Annual Spring History and Community Festival: Beautify Historic Flushing presents Flushing’s Annual Spring Community Festival, celebrating the history of Flushing through eat, heal, make, and play areas. Demonstrations and educational programming will engage our community with hands-on activities. Children and adults are welcome to come learn and experience Flushing’s unique heritage at this full-day, outdoor festival.

  • Aiden’s Court of Honor March 16 – Set up time for scouts is 9AM, For guest attending and not required to wear uniform, are welcome to wear Patriotic colors red, white and blue. ALL SCOUTS MUST BE IN UNIFORM Court of Honor Begins 7PM
  • Quail Hill Camping Trip -March 22– Cost TBD, Sign ups have already begun.
  • Radio Bingo- March 30 – 21 & Over Event Cost- $35 Includes Bingo games, beer wine, soda & snacks. Location Our Lady of Hope. Very fun event.
  • Hall of Fame Induction Ira Nagel- April 9 -21 & Over Event- Cost $70, Location- Hill Country BBQ 6pm. Come celebrate Ira’s 40 years of scouting service.
