Troop 106- Weekly Updates #2

Good afternoon. Happy Groundhog’s Day! Depending on who you listen to or believe, its six more weeks of Winter or Spring is on it’s way! Just a few more reminders,

Tomorrow night is a regular meeting, No Uniforms are required. Class -B shirt, if you don’t have one, don’t worry about it.

As I mentioned last night, the Wint-o-ree is coming up this Saturday February 4th. We are meeting at the church at 7:30 am on Saturday Morning to head to Alpine, New Jersey. Full uniform’s are required. Please dress warm as its going to be very very cold on Saturday. Please bring a water bottle with you. The cost is $20 and covers all food and program.

Troop 106- Weekly Updates

Good evening everyone. I can’t believe we are in a new month already. There are serval reminders and events coming up this month.

  1. Thank you to those who came forward and signed up to help deliver books tomorrow night. A reminder that we are meeting at the church at 5:00 pm.
  2. The Wint-o-ree is this weekend. We are only going up for the day. We are meeting at the church on Saturday at 7:30 am. Cost is $20 a person for food and program.
  3. This Sunday is Scout Sunday. We have been asked to come to the 10:30 am service at Trinity. There will be a sign-up sheet Friday night for all those that can attend.
  4. We have been asked to help out this year at the Pancake Supper on Tuesday February 21st. There will be a sign-up sheet on Friday for those who can attend.

TROOP 106- Help Needed!

Good evening, I hope all is well. I want to first take this opportunity to thank all the scouts, leaders, and parents who came out this weekend and supported Jacob Buron’s Eagle Scout Project. Your help was greatly appreciated. Jacob has one mor task to complete, before he can say his project is complete. He has to deliver the books that he collected to the Queens Public Library. Jacob is in need of scouts, leaders, or parents who are able to drive and help load cars on Thursday, February 2nd. We will meet at 5:00 pm at Trinity. Please let me know by Wednesday, if you are available to help and to drive books to the library.

Troop 106- Blue Mountain Update #2

Good evening, hope everyone is staying dry and is excited about the upcoming trip to Blue Mountain this weekend. We are meeting at the church at 5:30 pm on Friday!

Blue Mountain is located at 435 Welcher Ave. Peekskill, NY. We will be staying in a large, heated cabin with a huge fireplace and commercial kitchen. There are two dormitories for sleeping and bathrooms with showers.

Please make sure to bring your scout handbook and mess kit. (Please let me know if any scout is in need of a mess kit) The weather is supposed to be in the low 40’s during the day and the mid 30’s at night, so please bring the appropriate clothes. We will be eating dinner at Blue Mountain on Friday night. The cost is $35 if you have not paid me yet. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach to me. Good evening, hope all is well. I am writing with a few updates for our upcoming camping trip this weekend. Please make sure to bring your scout handbook and mess kit. Troop 106- Weekly Updates

Good evening everyone. I hope everyone is a having a great week. We will have a regular meeting tomorrow, January 13th, 2023. We will be focusing on the Wint-o-ree which is coming up, the first weekend in February. Just a few reminders:

Sign-up continues for the trip to Blue Mountain on January 20-23. Cost for the weekend will be $30.

We will begin sign-up for the Wint-o-ree which is coming up on February 3-5 at Camp Alpine.

There will be a committee meeting tomorrow night at 7:30. All parents are welcome to attend it.

Finally, If any needs a board of review, please let me know. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night.

Troop 106- Weekly Update #2

Good evening, hopefully everyone is having a great week. Just a reminder that we have a meeting tomorrow, January 6th at 7:30. No Uniforms Required! The main purpose of the meeting is to prepare and set-up for the Eagle Court of Honor on Saturday January 7th. There has been a time change for the Eagle Scout Court of Honor. The Court of Honor will start at 5:30. scouts are requested to be there at 5:00 pm the latest.

Next, sign-ups will continue for our trip to Blue Mountain on January 20th to the 21st.

Troop 106- Weekly Update #1

Good morning, I hope everyone is well and had a great holiday season. I am writing to inform everyone about some upcoming events as we enter the new year.

This coming Saturday will be an Eagle Court of Honor Ceremony for Kevin, Harry, and Sashi. These scouts made eagle before covid and have been patiently waiting for their ceremony. The ceremony will take place at 7:00 pm on Saturday. Any scout or adult who would like to attend, please let me know by Wednesday January 4th.

Next, we had to reschedule our trip to Blue Mountain. The trip will now take place on January 20th to the 22nd. Sign-up has started and will continue at our next meeting.

Finally, our next committee meeting will take place on Friday January 13th at 7:30 pm.
