Good evening, hope all is well. I am writing with a few updates for our upcoming camping trip this weekend. Please make sure to bring your scout handbook and mess kit. The weather is supposed to be in the high 50’s during the day and the mid 40’s at night, so please bring the appropriate clothes. We are meeting at the church at 6:00 pm on Friday! Good evening, I hope everyone is having a great week and enjoying the warmer weather.
This Friday, March 18th we will be holding our second Parent’s Night of the year. This is an important night because we will be disusing Summer Camp. We will also have a Court of Honor and the scouts will be preforming skits. At least one of the scout’s parents is requested to come to the meeting.
Last call for the sign-up for Blue Mountain . The trip is scheduled for March 25-27. I encourage all Troop members to attend. Lots of fun and advancement will take place. The cost will be $30 and can be turned in on Friday.
We will also begin sign-ups for the Pathfinder District Camporee which is taking place from April 8th to the 10th at Alpine Scout Camp,
Lastly, as per the church and the pastor, we need to continue to wear masks at our meetings until further notice.

We have a regular meeting tomorrow March 11th. We will be working on preparing for the camporee in April.
Sign-up for Blue Mountain will continue tomorrow night. The trip is scheduled for March 25-27. I encourage all Troop members to attend. Lots of fun and advancement will take place.
Parent’s Night will take place next Friday March 18th @ 8:00 pm. The main topic of discussion will be Summer Camp 2022! We will also have a Court of Honor and the scouts will be preforming skits.
Also, tomorrow night we will have Order of the Arrow Elections for those Troop members who are eligible. To be eligible, you must be first class and have 15 days and nights of camping, six of which need to be long-term camping.
Lastly, as per the church and the pastor, we need to continue to wear masks at our meetings until further notice.

Hello Everyone,
In the next week, we will be submitting our Charter and registering everyone for 2022-2023. If you are interested in keeping your registration with Troop 106, please bring a check for $45.00 (Adults) and $100 (Youth) to Friday night’s meeting or drop it off at Henry’s house. If you owe us paperwork, either the Criminal Background Check (CBC) or Youth Protection Training (YPT) please also provide those documents.
If we do not receive the above, we will assume you are no longer interested in being a member of Troop 106 and you will be removed from the charter.
If you wish to remain a member but for some reason are unable to provide the documents or payment, please speak to me or Anthony.
Edit: There seems to be confusion about the above paperwork mentioned in the post above. The required paperwork is for adults who wish to be members of the Troop and not for youth members. Sorry for the confusion.

Hello Everyone,
If you are planning on going to summer camp this year, you must fill out the Summer Camp Medical attached. Adults and Youth are required to prepare this medical. Please do not look online for a summer camp medical and prepare that one. The link below will take you to the form. Please click on the “green” button that says “BSA Medical for Ten Mile River Scout Camps”. The one attached is the new medical form for 2022. That doesn’t mean BSA or GNYC won’t change it in the future, but for now this is the updated one.
Things to remember:
Please scan these forms and email ([email protected]) them to me. I do not want the originals and you should keep them in case we need them. I will review them and let you know if they are correct. I upload them to the Troop’s Google Drive so they are available for the Troop Leadership throughout the year. I delete the old ones every year.
If you send the medical forms to me, I will be responsible for bringing them to camp and seeing your child through the camp’s Medical Re-Check; where they review the forms, ask your child a few questions about how they are feeling and a temperature check. If you do not send me the medical forms, you will have to stay in camp until after the camp’s Medical Re-Check in case there is a problem with the forms.
