Please read all 3 things:
1) The committee meeting for Friday has been cancelled. Next meeting will be in February
2) Blue Mountain is on.
The camping trip will be next weekend and will run through Monday as the kids have off from school.
The cost of the trip is $40.
Signup & payment will begin at 645p on Friday.
Depending on response, we may have to limit adults allowed as the place has a maximum capacity.
The cabin has 30 cots which scouts will get first dibs on, At the end of the night, if there are cots lets they will go to the adults, based on when they signed up and paid
More details about the trip will be sent out later in the week.
3) There is a Florida Sea Base meeting after the troop meeting on Friday, starting promptly at 9p. All scouts going on the trip and at least one of their parents are REQUIRED to attend.
Any questions about any of these topics direct to Mike.
Holiday Party
This coming Friday Dec 23 will be the Troop Holiday Party. It is open to everyone: family, siblings etc.
There will be a youth and adult secret santa. If you son wants to participate in the youth secret santa, they should bring a wrapped gift valued between $10-$20. If an adult wants to participate in the adult secret santa, they should bring a wrapped gift in the $15-$25 range.
We also ask that each family brings a dish from their culture, so we can all break bread together. We recognize that we have a melting pot of culture here at Troop 106, and we love to embrace it.
There will also be some fun and games planned. Doors open at 7p. NO UNIFORM for scouts.
Blue Mountain
This is our tentatively planned trip for Jan 13-16. We will not know if we are getting the reservation until Jan 3 or 4th. Once we have confirmed we have gotten the reservation we will send out a post on the website.
The trip will be $40/person. Sign-up & Payment will be required at the Jan 6th meeting. The place has 30 bunks, they will be reserved for the first 30 youth to sign-up, Adults and anyone who comes after the 30th sign-up will have to bring a cot or sleeping pad (NO QUEEN SIZED AIR MATTRESSES)
This tends to be the favorite trip of the year as the place we are staying is very comfortable and setup for a great time. Parents who tends not to be huge fans of the woods love this trip.
Any questions on either of these topics direct to Mike

Thomas, Kyle & Declan’s grandfather passed away on Sunday.
Services will be held Today (Tuesday) & Tomorrow at:
Fairchild Funeral Chapel
1570 Northern Blvd.
Manhasset, NY, 11030
From 3-5p & 7-9p
The troop send’s its deepest condolences to our Scouts and their family.
It’s that time of year again, as many of you may know Mike co-chairs the charitable arm of the company he works for. Citi Habitats Cares is working along-side JCCA to sponsor over 175 NYC foster kids this year.
If you would like to sponsor a kid a $50 minimum gift is required (because for some these kids this may be the only gift they get), and all you need to do is contact Mike. He will provide you a wishlist from one & gifts need to be delivered to Mike by Dec 23 (You can give it to him at the troop holiday party)
Thanks in advance for your generosity.
We are happy to announce that we have sold out of wreaths. Great job to all the scouts & adult volunteers. We sold 35 dozen in total.
We are looking to have a more streamlined process next year, so any suggestions you may have please send to Pat. The committee will be working on a standardized plan for wreaths, to 1st implement next year.
Scouts should be in Class A uniform, as well as any uniformed leaders.

Any parents/scouts who picks up their 3 wreaths they need to purchase at a selling shift, you (adult running selling shift) need to let Henry know.
Please ensure:
Place no signs on the building
Do not block the entrance
Sweep up when you are done for the day
Make sure the boys are courteous
At Artis Drugs:
