45 to 50 wreaths left

We have about it 45 to 50 wreaths left and need your help.

We are going to run a special promo for the scouts. Each scout will receive $1/wreath in their account (must sell a minimum of 10 wreaths), for every wreath the sell between now and when we are sold out. Previous sales do not count.

Wreaths are currently at John’s house, get in contact with him or I for more info.

Wreath Info Important

A few things to cover:

1) I unfortunately will be around but not available this weekend (work is crazy). John Mohr will be the point person. If at any point any of our selling stations are running low or there is a general question you can reach out to him. His cell is 917.842.6353.

2) We have a lot of wreaths left to sell. I ask that all parents take a moment to post the following picture on social media with our selling times, to help drive saleswreath

3) Selling schedule has changed. Unfortunately, due to lack of scouting signing up, we have to cancel the 1-4 shift at Met Food & Artis Drugs tomorrow (Sat). The selling shifts will be as follows:
Met Food & Artis Sat – 10a – 1p
RA Sat 530p – 7p
Met Food & Artis Sun – 10a – 1p & 1p – 4p
Trinity Sun 9a – 12 noon
RA Sun 10A – 1p

Any questions you may have you can send me, but would be best to reach out to John as he will be more promptly available the next 2 days.

We will set a record again this year with 36 dozen wreaths sold, Lets Rock n Roll this weekend.

Thanks.

Please Read – Important Info

Rather than create 3 posts we are putting everything together

1) This Friday is our annual wreath making night (in place of troop meeting – no uniforms required). We will be putting the wreaths together. As a reminder, every scout is required to buy 3 wreaths (most buy them for themselves, family, etc.) (so if a family has 2 son’s in the troop they would be required to buy 6 wreaths) & do one selling shift (Sat or Sun). Wreaths are $15/each. This is currently our only fundraiser for the year, and helps to keep the troop solvent, while keeping the cost of camping & participating in the program down.

2) As mentioned at the last meeting, this coming Friday is the deadline to submit an entry for the “Design our newest Hoodie” contest. Each scout is allowed to submit just 1 entry. The scout with the winning entry will receive a free hoodie. Any entries deemed inappropriate by the scoutmaster will be immediately discarded. We will begin taking orders once we get an estimate from the printer for the order. Expect hoodies to be between $20-$25/each

3) Mike co-chairs the charitable arm of his company. They are working with Jewish Child Care Association, which runs various foster care services for needy teens. The organization have given us “snowflakes” which are the teens personal wishes for holiday gifts. There are 2 small and 1 big. They don’t expect the big gift, and it total it’s about a $50 commitment. I have both boys and girls ranging from 14-21. We need to receive the gifts by Dec 19th. Would you like to sponsor a teen? contact Mike for more info.

If you have any questions about any of this please get in contact with Mike.

Shane’s Eagle Project Part 1

Hey guys its Shane here and I need your help for my Eagle Project, on Saturday December 6th I need you guys to come to Trinity at 9am to help put up flyers around Middle Village like we did for Hurricane Sandy. If you come to the meeting the day before that saturday you can pick up a permission slip (Shane’s Eagle Permission Slip) or you can print out one yourself. Anyone can help, bring your parents or any friends. Hope to see you all there, I know I can count on you guys .
Sincerely,
Shane Wynne
From Mike:
If you are working a wreath selling shift Saturday morning, obviously you will not be able to attend this part of Shane’s project, there are other times you will be expected to be there. As with any Troop 106 eagle project, the expectation is that every scout attends and participates.
