Ski Trip – Immediate Response Required

The troop will be going on a ski/snowboard trip Feb 7-9.

The cost will be $50/person (covers cabin rental, food for the weekend, lift ticket, ski or snowboard rental, lesson)

We need to get a idea of how many people are going no later than Wednesday evening in order to make a tentative reservation with the place & make a cabin reservation.

Please respond to this immediately and let Mike know if you are planning to attend & also how many (ie. if Eric & Phillip wanted to go let me know it would be 2 of you).

Thanks.

Helpful & More

The third point of the scout law is Helpful.

What a better way to be helpful, than on this snow day to help those shovel who may be a bit older or sick and not able to do it themselves.

If you do help a neighbor please take a photo and send it to Mike to be posted on the website.

Windbreakers Ordered

Just wanted to let everyone know the Windbreakers had been ordered.

We actually got one that was slightly different than the picture previously.

You can see the design below but ours is in a Navy Blue & the logo (which is below that) will be embroidered in red.

They should be delivered right before Blue Mountain.

Overall we were able to raise a few hundred dollars to use for new supplies (ie camping, sporting, etc.) Thanks. More gear to come at random points in the future.

Florida Sea Base 2015

We are hoping to be making our next trip to the Florida Sea Base during early 2015. In order to be eligible scouts need to be 13 years old & graduating the 8th grade in 2015.

We will put in for the lottery in January for 2-3 crews. The lottery is picked at the end Feb. We will have 12-18 youth slots and 4-6 adult slots. The trip will cost approx $1400/person (includes, base fee, flight, various incidentals). In order to reserve a spot we will require a $100 non-refundable deposit (it can be refunded if you find someone else to take your slot) within 2 weeks of getting picked in the lottery (so far we have been very lucky at getting slots).
There are also camperships offered by Florida Sea Base. Last time we went one of our scouts received a $250 camerpship.
If you are interested in going or have additional questions please email Mike.

Money Due Reminders

We have 2 reminders for money that is due Tonight.
1) If you want to go to Blue Mountain you MUST make sure you are paid by 730p tonight. At 730p we are going to open the remaining spots to the people on the waiting list. Once we hit 35 people the trip is considered closed. We hate to have to do it this way, but due to the facility we have no choice.

2) If you wanted to get a Troop Windbreaker, the deadline is also this Friday. The cost is as follows
S – XL – $35
2XL – $40
(these are adult sizes)
***Also, tonight is class c uniforms, which means you can wear whatever you want. It was an early Christmas gift from Mike***
If you have any questions you can reach out to Mike.

SOLD OUT!!!

I am happy to announce that we are now SOLD OUT of wreaths.

You should all be really proud of the hard work you have done.

This is essentially our only fundraiser for the year, and the money we make allows us to stay solvent and keep the cost of camping trips down significantly.

Looking forward to setting a new record next year!

Great Job.
