Last Call for Discount at Rye Playland

We were able to get wristbands for $20, all we need to do is have a minimum of 20 riders and pay for them in advance. We need to have the money by Tuesday nite at Eric’s house:

62-23 80th Street, Middle Village (green light bulb)

You can still come after that but you will have to pay the full $30 price for admission. We need a few more to lock in this rate so please do not wait!

Rye Playland – MUST READ

As you may have seen in the previous post, we are able to buy tickets at a discount. Instead of $30, we can get unlimited rides for $20 if we have a group of 20 or more. We need to purchase them in advance.

So, if you plan on going to Rye Playland (and haven’t paid yet, 6/14), Please contact Mike immediately & drop the money off in Eric’s mailbox (63-23 80 St, Green Light in window) no later than Tue 6/4. After which point you will NOT be eligible for the discount pricing anymore and would have to pay full price on the day we attend.

We also were able to secure cheaper entrance for those who don’t plan on riding the rides, $3 instead of the $10 they normally charge.

Any questions direct to Mike.

Hurricane Sandy Update

I am happy to announce that due to all your hard work, and the generosity of Suanhacky Lodge, we were able today to give $2,051 in camperships to two troops (troop 139 & 237) that were severely affected by the storm.

I spoke to both scoutmasters who will be deciding which scouts get the camperships (as they tend to know their individual scouts situations best), and both of them wanted me to convey how appreciative they were. Both of them literally said “wow, I’m speechless”

All of your hard work made a huge impact when the storm hit, and continues to do so.

We will continue to work closely with these two troops, so keep your eyes and ears open as they still are recovering and helping others is something we do here at 106.

You should all be very proud of yourselves.

Summer Schedule

The summer schedule begins tomorrow with a softball game from 6-8:30. We will meet at Trinity and then find a field.

IMPORTANT! UPCOMING RYE PLAYLAND TRIP 6/14

We will have the opportunity to get a group rate of $20 per rider for Rye Playland if we have enough people to purchase the group minimum amount of 20 wristbands. Otherwise admission is $30 per person. The tickets must be purchased a week in advance so we are asking that you bring your $20 to tomorrow’s softball game. If you are a parent planning on attending, the group spectator (non-rider) rate is only $3 (as opposed to $10).

If you were not coming tomorrow, but would still like to attend the Rye trip, please make arrangements to drop off your money with either Mike or Eric asap.

Eric’s address is: 62-23 80th Street (green lightbulb).

GREAT DEAL!! – ALL GONE – Sorry

All 5 of these have been spoken for, sorry.

I was in the scout shop the other day and came across these foldable tables in their clearance section. I personally have one and its great as a camping ottoman or side table next to your sleeping bag/cot. They also have a chess/checkers board printed on the top and 4 cup holders under it.

I had the scout shop search the whole country and they were able to find and hold 5 for me. I will go pick them up over the next day or two. They are $10 each. If you want one please email me and you can bring me the money and pick it up on Friday.
