Reminder for OA Candidates

Just a few reminders for OA candidates:

1. Please arrive NO LATER than 8:30 pm in Class A uniform tomorrow night.

2. Dress appropriately for sleeping outside (lots of layers, hats, gloves, etc). The weather is expected to go down to the high 30s at night. You NEED a tarp: not only is it ground cover, it can be wrapped around you to block out the elements.

3. You MUST bring a copy of your medical with you and submit it at check-in.

Eagle Scout Dinner RSVP

All scouts are invited to attend the Eagle Court of Honor and Dinner on Saturday, June 6, if you planning on attending please either:

• Sign up tonight on the sign-up sheet by the kitchen window

• Reply to [email protected] by May 27th

Please note that scouts should arrive on Saturday June 6 in Full Class A uniform at 5pm.

Regardless of whether or not you are attending, we need help setting up the room at 7 pm on Friday, June 5 (no uniforms required).

Summer Camp Update

Summer camp is $365/week if paid before 5/22. Checks must be made out to “GNYC” . If you pay after 5/22 the price goes up to $395/week.

For those joining us from another troop the price is $10 higher, as we are entitled to a $10/week discount for early rechartering (so those prices would be $375/week for early bird, or $405/week for late), and that only applies to those on our charter. Also, we will need a check for $15/week made out to “Troop 106” which covers: incidentals, Class B t-shirt, pizza party, paper-ware, etc.

For those in Troop 106, the $15/week extra does not apply, as the troop will pick up that cost.

In regards to medicals if your son is going for 1 week, use the 1 week medical. And if they are going for 2 weeks you must use the 2 week medical.

I will also need the medical (including front and back of insurance card) & merit badge schedule at that time (see links below)
