Eagle Dinner April 6 — Regrets Only

Kindly let Anthony, Henry or Mike know if you are NOT going to the 35th Anniversary/Eagle Dinner on Saturday, April 6 at 6 pm.

Please send regrets only by this Saturday 3/30, so we can order the catering.

There is no charge for active scouts in Troop 106. If your friends or family would like to attend, tickets are still available for purchase at $ 35 but hurry since they are going fast!!!

This Friday March 22nd – Parents Night

Good Evening to All,

Just a couple of quick reminders:

  • Friday is Parents Nite, we will be
    • recognizing the boys for their most recent achievements and advancements
    • see a short presentation about Summer Camp
    • watch a skit or two from our Troop
    • have coffee and cake
  • Anyone with any donations and/or raffle items for the 35th Anniversary Dinner [4/6/13] please bring them with you

35 Anniversary Committee Meeting

Since the 35th Anniversary is around the corner we thought it would be a good idea to meet more often to make sure all ends were tied up.

So we are having another 35th Anniversary Committee Meeting this Friday at 730. It should be no longer than 30 minutes and will allow us to bring any issues or concerns to the table, while keeping us all updated as to where we stand as a collective group.

35th Anniversary Update

For those of your joining us, we have instituted a payment deadline before a late fee goes into effect (as we have to let the caterers know and have other time sensitive things to take care of):

Postmarked or hand delivered by 3/22/13 will pay the $35/person rate

Paid after 3/22/13 or at the door will be $45/person

Scouts currently registered with the troop are free. All parents and adult scout leaders are required to pay.

Upcoming Camping Trip

In less than 2 weeks we will be going on our next camping trip.

Here is the info: Location: Glen Gray in Mahwah, NJ.

Cost: $20 (for those who paid for the winter-ree you can use that money towards this trip, you just need to let Mike know immediately). If you are going the trip needs to be paid no later than the meeting this coming friday.

Date: Friday Mar 15 – Sunday Mar 17

We will be meeting at the church at 6P (prompt) on Friday Evening, and returning at approx. 2P on Sunday.

We will be staying in a cabin so scouts need to bring a sleeping bag and applicable clothing.

ALL SCOUTS need to bring their handbook.

There will be NO electronics permitted on the trip, with one exception: First Class or above scouts should bring a tablet, laptop, ipod or some similar device that can get on the internet (will be using Mike’s phone as a hotspot, so something with just wifi is fine) as it will be used for merit badge advancement (ONLY!)

No Uniforms are required for this trip.

Reminders for Tonight

Just wanted to remind everyone of a few things about tonight:

1) We will be meeting downstairs as the cubs have their pinewood derby in the gym

2) There will be a committee meeting followed by a 35 anniversary committee meeting

3) There will be a board of review. If you/your son is ready please make sure they have everything they need to be prepared for it.
