2015-2016 Troop Hoodie

image

We are happy to show off the newest hoodie. The picture above is of a sample, in the version the TLC approved last night, it will say Troop 106 under the image. That is the image that our friend Nicholai Khan painted live a few weeks ago.

Hoodies come in Men’s sizes XS – 3XL*. 3XL orders will be the same image, but a different brand hoodie, similar color.

Cost: $30/each

Scouts can use money from their accounts for this.

We will take orders at the next 2 meetings only.

Any questions direct to Mike.

New Board of Review Procedure

At least a week before the desired Review Board Date the SCOUT must approach the Advancement Chairman with his Scout handbook and express his need for the Board of Review. The Advancement Chairman will check to ensure that all the requirements are complete.

If the requirements are complete, the Advancement Chairman will inform the Scoutmaster about the Scout needing a Scoutmaster Conference. At the same time the Advancement Chairman will inform the Committee Chairman to let him know that the Scout will need a Board of Review.

The Committee Chairman will arrange a date where Committee Members will be available for the Board of Review. The Scout will be informed of the date selected.

The day of the Board of Review, the Advancement Chairman will inspect the Scout’s uniform (Class ‘A’) to ensure it is complete (according to the Uniform Inspection Checklist – posted on the Troop’s Website at: http://www.troop106ny.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/UniformInspectionChecklist.pdf ) and belonging to the Scout (NO borrowed pieces). The Scout Handbook is part of the uniform!

Once the uniform passes inspection, the Scout will be permitted to go for his Board of Review.

IMPORTANT Wreath Info – Please read everything

  1. Wreath delivery will happen at 5p. If we could get a few people to help unload the truck that would be great
  2. Wreath Prep will start at 7p in the gym, Scouts are not required to be in uniform.
  3. Each scout is REQUIRED to purchase 3 wreaths (5 wreaths for a family with more than one scout) & do one selling shift (this weekend) – signup sheets will be in the kitchen.
  4. Wreaths are $15/each

This is our ONLY troop fundraiser annually, It helps keep us solvent while keeping the cost of the program down. We really need all the help we can get, from ALL of our Troop 106 family.

Please do not make us chase you to buy your wreaths or fill a selling shift. That is not scout-like.

Huge outpouring of Love, MORE HELP NEEDED

As you may know Mike co-chairs the charitable arm of the company he works for (Citi Habitats). They are doing a drive in conjunction with JCCA (Jewish Child Card Association) to help the population they serve.

Yesterday alone, Troop 106 & Mike’s social network agreed to sponsor 15 needy kids (12-21 years old). Mike still has another 25 kids that need help.

The way it works is simple, we ask that you pick at least one of the gifts they request and spend a minimum of $50. We must receive the gifts no later than Dec 21.

If you want to sponsor a kid or two, please reach out to Mike

Thank you in advance
